    This unique tour will bring you through three different countries which are closely related as they once belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
    The tour begins in Vienna Austria, then continues in Bratislava Slovakia, and finally finishes in Sopron Hungary. As we explore these cities, we discover the well-preserved colourful medieval houses and the cobbled streets that revive the past. They also offer many unique features and friendly local people.
    During the four days, we visit many impressive historical places such as castles, gatehouses, churches, towers, and statues. While we are discovering these buildings and local historical sites, we admire their incredible architectural and interior designs from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period. We also learn their history and local legends. We then take a walk around in beautifully designed gardens & parks.
    Furthermore, we also explore the Fertő–Hanság National Park by participating in a cave and boat tour. We gain an insight into its natural, petrological, palaeontological and cultural treasures.
    Then we dive into the culinary world by tasting traditional dishes and drinks. We also learn about the unique Harrer chocolate and taste this delicious chocolate sweet during a chocolate tasting program.
    Finally, we visit two famous thermal spas. Their thermal water is recognised as medicinal treatment water and is used to treat many illnesses & allergies. Many have really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and felt reborned after their unique thermal treatments.

    Day 1

    On our first day, we began our journey in Austria, where we visit a beautiful Baroque castle called Marchegg. After we explore this incredible place, we drive to Bratislava. We began exploring this wonderful city by having lunch in one of its traditional restaurants, then we visit the nearby castle called Devin Castle. We continue our journey into the heart of the city. Here, we discovere the Michael’s Gate, which was once part of the Royal coronation route. Then our next destination is the famous Blue Church. Before we check in to our hotel, we stop for a delicious dinner. We really enjoyed visiting historical places and admire their unique architectural and interior designs and gain an insight into their history. While we were walking on the different trails, we immersed ourselves in the beautiful, relaxing landscape. Finally, their traditional dishes were delicious, and we found the people very friendly.

    Day Trip in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary

    We began our second day visiting the Gothic tower in Bratislava, which was originally part of a Franciscan church. After examining its beautiful carved design, we took a walk in the park which surrounds this beautiful creation. Our next destination was the famous Bratislava Castle, where we explored its history, and the life of a goldsmith and silversmith worker. The, we walked along the courtyard and admired the beautifully designed gardens. We then continue our journey, to Hungary. After a short 35-minute drive, we arrived at this charming city called Mosonmagyaróvár. First, we visited a beautifully designed and decorated church, which is also home to the final resting place of Archduke Friedrich Habsburg and his wife. Then we had a delicious traditional lunch in a cosy, welcoming traditional Hungarian restaurant. The next visiting point was the Óvari Castle. Here, we learned about the history of the castle and the city and explored the surrounding park. Finally, we checked into the hotel, then we went to the spa where we spent a nice relaxing afternoon. We closed the day with a nice dinner in a nearby restaurant.

    Today, we continue our journey in Hungary. During the first part of our trip, we visited the home of two famous aristocratic families, Esterházy and Széchényi. As we discovered the buildings’ impressive architectural designs and interior decorations, we also learned the history of these families and Hungary. Then we walked around in the beautifully designed gardens. Next, we headed to the Fertő-Hanság National Park. Here, we explored the Stone Quarry and its Cave Theatre. Through a tour, we gained an insight into the local natural, petrological, palaeontological and cultural treasures. Near the Quarry, we came across the Mithrász (Mithras) sanctuary, where we found out more about the Sun God Mithras and his mysterious religious cult. Finally, we visited another thermal spa in Bükfürdő where we spent a nice relaxing afternoon. During the day, we also tasted delicious traditional dishes and wines.

    A Day in Sopron, Hungary

    This is our last day, and we decided to discover another beautiful city in Hungary called Sopron. We began our day with a boat tour, where we explored the aquatic wildlife of Fertő-Hanság National Park. We continued our journey to the city, where we visited the Taródi-castle. One of the interesting aspects of this building is that it was only built in the 20th century, but in a medieval style. Next, we had a delicious lunch, then we headed to the Harrer Chocolate Factory and Confectionery. Here, we joined a chocolate tasting program, where we tried different sweets created by traditional recipes. After the hearty meal, we visited the famous Fire Tower. Its Baroque features are beautiful. We also learned about its history by walking through the museum. Nearby, we came across the 13th-century Goat Church. We admired the harmonious combination of Gothic architecture and Baroque interior designs. We also learned about the legend of the Goat. Outside of the church, we found the Holy Trinity Statue. We took a close look and explored its beautiful decoration. Finally, before we headed home, we visited another cosy restaurant where we enjoyed our delicious dinner and tasted one of the wines from the famous Hungarian Kékfrankos family.
