    Basilica of St. Giacomo

Built during the 11th and 12th Centuries, the Basilica of Saint Giacomo resides in the most picturesque area of Bellagio. The church, a national monument, is of Romanesque architecture so popular across Italy and features a prominent bell tower with five different bells.
They ring every hour, so if you're lucky, you'll be able to see and hear them during your visit.
The church is set on a very pretty small square, lined with local shops and gelato stalls, so this is a great place to have a look around.

    Bellagio Rent a Boat

You might not realize it looking out from the stunning viewpoint of Bellagio, but this lake is seriously huge, nearly 30 miles long and shaped like a giant upside-down letter "Y". With only two hours, you can't see it all, but you will be able to see quite a lot.
The most famous mansions and villas of celebrities and the uber-wealthy are mostly focused around the western shores of Lake Como so this would be a suggested focal point for your self-driving adventure.
The Bellagioa Rent-a-Boat company is highly respected and will safely teach you how to drive your boat — no boat license needed. They can also provide you with a map to help you identify the town, mansions and villas you are seeing.
And if you feel like taking a dip in the lake, go right ahead, the water is waiting for you!
In high season, please reserve your boat 48 hours in advance using the booking form on the website.
