A morning in the city

Burgplatz is the city square of Düsseldorf, as old as the city itself. At the beginning of the 20th century, the square gained access to the Rhine because of the demolition of the western wall of the castle. The Castle Tower is now one of the oldest castle structures, and there is a museum of shipping and navigation. The Town Hall can be seen from this square, as it is very close to the market square. And if you get from the end of October to the end of January, you can take a ride on the Ferris wheel. It's a Dusseldorf winter attraction. The cabins are covered, comfortable and heated.

The view from the observation deck is just stunning! The Rhine, the surrounding area, and Dusseldorf itself - like in the palm of your hand! Remember, in Cologne we looked at the city from a height of 100 meters, and here - the whole 170! In general, it is a television tower, but architects in the late 70's - early 80's of the twentieth century have come up with an idea how to place an observation deck and a rotating restaurant on it. And you did the right thing! For 40 years, visitors have been enjoying the beautiful views. We will admire Dusseldorf and its surroundings from a bird's eye view!
