Go on an Amazing Drive From the Polish Coast to the Capital

The first stop on the drive back to Warsaw begins at Wiisloujscie Fortress. A grand structure towering over the neighbouring area and an example of the strength of Polish history. Wandering around the surrounding areas is one of the best ways to see this fortress.
Currently closed for restauration but an important note that all tours are in Polish, so you need to explore the landmark yourself when it is open.

One last view of the sea before you head back to land towards the more familiar towns and cities. There are lovely areas to walk here, regardless of when you decide to visit. If you walk far enough, you will see Kaliningrad, which is part of Russia. I suggest turning around at this point.

Stop off for lunch for a slice of Italy at this lovely Pizzeria. The choice and prices are very good and highly recommended.

Before you jump back into the car towards Warsaw, take a wander around the area explore quiet streets at Stary Rynek. You will notice a modern looking area mixed with the old one, which has an interesting vibe about it.

Stretch your legs by the beautiful Ostroda Mall. Those who are into fishing may wish they had brought their rod with them.
Instead, take in the great views and wildlife at this location.

I recommend taking a little detour from the route back home to explore Olsztyn. A pretty little town off the beaten track. I'm sure at the time you arrive it will be a little quieter at this time, making it a pleasant experience walking around the town square. Feel free to investigate the streets around the square.

One last stop before you eat and reach Warsaw, which I don't think can be any better. This grand castle is a fantastic site and a great teaser for seeing again in more detail on your next visit to Poland. Another insight into how powerful this region of Europe once was. The area around the castle is so quiet and peaceful, it's a perfect location to stretch your legs one final time.
