Drive Through the Beautiful Polish Countryside to the Coastal City of Gdansk

The first stop of the epic first day will be the Narrow Gauge Railway. A perfect location to take a break from the driving, and this place has a little bit for everyone. Even the hardest to please will admire the beauty of the vintage engines on display here. You'll find your mind wondering what these machines were like in their heyday.

After jumping back in the car and driving through the beautiful Polish countryside, you stop in your first town. Plocku is a reasonably quiet town with some architecture to please the eye while you take a well-deserved pit stop. While you stretch your legs you will notice a few coffee shops around to refuel if needed.

Stop off at this cute little coffee shop with some awesome cakes and tasty coffee. Make it a quick pit stop as you have to get back on the road and there are still many things to do and lots of driving.

As you continue north to Gdańsk, you must stop off at this next location. The House of Nicholaus is a fantastic place packed with fascinating exhibits and history. It's not the largest of places, but you will wish it was bigger and that you could spend more time here, but we need to get back on the road.

The last stop before you arrive in Gdańsk is here in Glowny. Maybe something you will notice is that Poland has some beautiful little towns which are really hidden away. Very similar to anyone who has visited Germany. Admiring the architecture on the main square, you will also have a feeling like you're in Warsaw or Kraków.

Before you jump back in the car and head towards Gdańsk, it's time to get something to eat. Loft has a great menu, whether you're looking for something small to eat or looking to feast. You will be sure to get good value whatever you decide.

Park the car here as you arrive in Gdańsk. You won't be needing the car until now, and everything will be on foot from now on.

Finally, you've made it! I can't think of an easier place to start exploring than here. As you stand in the middle of Dlugi Targ you'll be surrounded by pretty buildings everywhere. It will be hard to compare it to other Polish cities you may have visited, but I think you will agree it has it own touch.

A short walk away and you'll come to a very well-known landmark for tourists and locals alike. A great photo opportunity and a chance to unearth many of the landmarks of this great city.
This is one of the main historical sites in Gdansk that isn't on the riverbank. An awesome photo opportunity as you walk under the arch and admire the interesting architecture.

After a long day exploring and driving, you'll probably be very hungry. Why not enjoy some local cuisine at the Dumpling Mandu centre? While here, you will really start to feel you're getting involved in the Polish culture.

Personally, at the end of the day, I can't think of a better place to unwind with a beer in Gdańsk. This location has a great vibe regardless of when you visit and if you are sitting outside the surrounds are for enjoying a local beer with. The locals here are very friendly to people visiting, so you may learn a few tips while here.
