Marzipan, a Castle and Living History

Start your morning at the home of world-famous Lübeck Marzipan. On the second floor of the café you’ll find exhibits detailing the long history of marzipan. Don’t miss the life-sized statues carved from marzipan! Then head downstairs to the renowned café.

Your next stop is the 19th century fairy tale Schwerin Castle, which is located on an island in the middle of Lake Schwerin near the Altstadt. Leave your car at Parkplatz Klosterstraße and walk about five minutes across the bridge to the castle.
You can spend your time exploring the sprawling castle gardens or visit the castle museum to see artwork and rooms filled with ornate furniture and decorations.
