Chocolate factory and cheese factory

The journey begins! For a smooth trip, we recommend stopping at a gas station - fill a full tank of quality fuel, pump up the tires, buy aromatic coffee and snacks on the road.

Let's start our route in Nevyansk. Here is the famous sloping tower. It is shrouded in many legends. It is not known exactly in what year it was built, who its architect is and why it is inclined.
According to one of the hypotheses, during its construction the soil began to sink and the construction sloped. Different angles of slope on the ground floor and the top floor of the tower indicate that.
Tours of the tower are held. Their schedule can be found at site of the Nevian Historical and Architectural Museum. It is better to book in advance, especially if you go on weekends.

The house is located in the village of Kunara on Lenin's main street. The blacksmith got it from his parents. The house was dilapidated, and the blacksmith undertook the repair. Kirillov decorated his house all his life. Everything was made of wood and metal.
The house is now home to the descendants of the blacksmith. But they are not very happy with the attention of tourists.

This is a small park created by the villagers. In it there are the memorial of Peter and Fevronia, the wheel of wishes, the bench of reconciliation, the bridge of love and accord, the swing of lovers.

Next we'll go to Rezh to the Chocolate and Pepper Workshop. There is a chocolate museum, where we will learn about the history of chocolate and see the author's works made of chocolate. And on a tasting tour, we will experience the diversity of tastes and aromas of chocolate.
After the museum, we can take part in a master class on making chocolates, where we will learn the intricacies of working with chocolate. It is better to register for the master class in advance at site.
At the workshop shop you can buy handmade sweets, buy gifts for loved ones and order chocolate of original shape with your own drawing.
Chocolate and pepper is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

After the chocolate workshop, you can have a light snack at the Empire of Taste cafe. It is located on the way to the next point of our route - the cheese factory "Rezhano".

Rezhano Cheese Dairy is located in Rezh on the outskirts of the city. During the excursion we will learn about the history of cheese making, types and technology of cheese making, look through the panoramic glass, how the cheese is made. After the tour we will have a tasting of the cheese varieties produced here and a master class where you will make mozzarella yourself. You can also buy cheese produced by the cheese factory here.

We are heading to the center of Yekaterinburg. There is a large parking lot near the business center "Vysotsky" (Malysheva, 51).
The walk in the center will begin with Malysheva Street. We move along it towards the River Iset.
When we reach the river, we turn right. This is where Historic Square spreads out. It was broken in 1973 to the 250th anniversary of Yekaterinburg. Before that various plants were located here for several centuries: iron works, which gave life to Ekaterinburg, a mint, which was the main producer of copper money in the XVIII-XIX centuries, and a mechanical factory.
Along the perimeter of the square there are historical buildings, which are occupied by museums.

From the Historical Square we move to the dam of the City Pond and at the underground passage we go to the embankment.
Along the embankment are the house of Sevastyanov and the residence of the governor.
Summer sunsets are beautiful from here.
On the embankment we move on, to Dzerzhinsky Street. Here among the squares there is a cinema and concert theatre "Cosmos". And to the right on the hill is the Temple of Blood, built on the site of the murder of the royal family.

From the embankment we go to the temple. There is an underground passage to the left of it at the trolleybus stop.
We'll cross the street and end up at the young spectator theatre. On the square in front of it there is a sculpture "The territory of Voznesenskaya Hill for 1936". It's interesting to look at and compare it with the surrounding buildings.
From the theater we move up the mountain along Rastorguyev-Kharitonov estate. It is known for its legends about ghosts, secret underground passages under the city and the cool temper of its owners. Now it houses a children's palace of creativity "Giftedness and Technology".
If we climb the Voznesensky Hill, we'll find ourselves in a small park. We'll pass through it. On the other side of the park is the Ascension Church. Its construction was started in 1789.
From the Church of the Ascension we walk along Turgenev Street, which begins right here, from her. Here on the left side of the street there is a well preserved building of pre-revolutionary Yekaterinburg.

In two blocks we will reach Lenin Avenue. Here on the corner is the Opera and Ballet Theater. Across the street from it is one of the buildings of the Ural University. Behind the opera house there's a small square.

The stretch of Lenin Avenue between Karl Liebkneht and Turgenev streets and the adjacent streets is the most saturated area of Ekaterinburg with cafes and restaurants.
We suggest to go for a dinner to restaurant "Vertical". It is located on the 51st floor of business center "Vysotsky". It has a view over the whole city.
On the top floor of the business center there is an observation deck that you can climb up to if you want. The observation deck is open every day until 10 p.m.
