The "partisan camp" for the film was built in a dense spruce forest near Toksovo. And the interiors of Priyutino Manor came in handy to recreate the noblemen's life of the early 19th century to the smallest detail.
The manor is very beautiful, it is surrounded by an old park with ancient trees. Today, the building houses a literary and art museum, whose collections are worthy of all praise. It works from 10.00 to 17.30. Monday and Tuesday are weekends. Monday and Tuesday are days off; the last Friday of each month is a sanitary day.

The two-part 1960 film "Baltic Sky" gathered many famous names: Rolan Bykov, Mikhail Ulyanov, Mikhail Kozakov. The road of life is shown in it so reliably that it seems as if all this is documentary footage.
Let me remind you that Osinovets Lighthouse served as an important landmark on the Road of Life during the Siege of Leningrad. The lighthouse took part in filming a war drama: the film crew was lucky to climb to the 73-metre height already in peacetime.
The lighthouse is located near the museum "The Road of Life" and it is possible to approach it quite close. There is also a spiral staircase with 366 steps for everyone to climb to the top.

Let's make a stop and have lunch in a cozy restaurant "Noteburg". The menu here is rather various - there are widely presented dishes of Japanese and European cuisine, there is also a wide choice of business lunches, homemade desserts and dishes cooked on open fire. Many films have been shot in Shlisselburg, which is quite logical. Thus, in 2001, Sergei Bodrov chose this place to make his film "Sisters" with the young Oksana Akinshina.
In the 70s, the comedy "Marriage" was filmed here. In March, there was already no snow, and it was made of foam for filming. The film features, in particular, the city police department. The main role in the film was played by Yevgeny Leonov, who liked to drink beer in the beer house in Gostiny Dvor between shootings.
Some episodes of the mini-series "Peter the First. Testament" (2011) was filmed in the fortress "Walnut. Serial tells the story of the last two years of Peter I. The emperor was played by Alexander Baluyev, and in the film appeared native Leningrad Boyarsky.

The crime drama "Cargo 200" (2007) by Alexei Balabanov shocked the whole country. Part of the shooting took place in New Ladoga. You probably remember the disco scene in a half-destroyed church building with a huge homemade inscription "Club". By the way, young people from Novaya Ladoga and Volkhov participated in the crowd.

Alexei Uchitel filmed his drama "Space as a Premonition" in Volkholv. (2005). The film is set in the late 1950s. The director chose a good location - according to him, Volkhov has hardly changed since that time. "The grim industrial landscape of the local factory successfully matches the industrial might and soullessness of the state. The old Soviet canteen, carousel and amusement ride, dormitory and bicycles," recalled Uchitel.
Well, we will look at Volkhov from the other side: gorgeous river landscapes, hilly banks and very nice people.

On the way to Kirishi, you must have noticed the endless factory buildings. This is the largest oil refinery in the European part of Russia. It's also the filming location for the Soviet film Seven Brides of Yevreiitor Zbruyev (1971) - the enterprise has just been commissioned.
It was also where the Russian-American drama "The White Swan" (2010), starring - attention! - Christian Slater. Many of the city's main streets have been featured in the aforementioned films, so don't pass up the chance to check them out.
