    • Taste the typical food of Astorga.
    • Walk through the streets where the Camino de Santiago de Compostela passes through.
    • Photograph the beautiful streets of villages like Castrillo de los Polvazales.
    • Be amazed by the incredible landscape of La Médula.
On this two-day route from León you will taste some traditional gastronomy (including sweets!), enjoy urban art, visit a palace designed by Gaudí and a Templar Castle, walk through small "stone" villages, find many details that will remind you of the pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago and be amazed by landscapes such as Las Médulas, one of the most beautiful landscapes in Castile-León, which was formed by mining in Roman times.
Are you ready for a two-day route through the region of Castilla y León?
This route can be done all year round, but it is always best to avoid the colder months because it gets dark earlier.

    Las Médulas, a Surprising Landscape

Ready for the second day on the road? The idea of this day is to get to know one of the most striking sites in the province of Castilla y León: the Médulas. This landscape originated from the exploitation of gold since Roman times. With the passing of time, the landscape that we enjoy today was formed. Along the walk through Las Médulas you can see viewpoints, go hiking and visit a lake where you can have a swim if the weather is good. Before returning to León, you will pass through the small town of Villafranca del Bierzo.
