    St Michael's Gate

    Park your car at the entrance of Guerande. It is a medieval fortified town, like the famous Carcassonne. So, you will visit by foot. This door looks like the castle of dukes of Brittany in Nantes, the architecture is pretty similar. It is one point of entry to the fortified town of Guerande. Inside the towers, there is a museum, and you can walk around the fortifications of Guerande. Open hours vary between summer and winter, it is better to check their website.

    Cité Médiévale de Guerande

    Walk around the medieval town to appreciate the old houses and old streets. Check out the church at least from outside as well. You will find many shops selling salt and sweets, as well as souvenirs, many restaurants and cafés and beautiful pictures to take.
