As We Drive up to Dallas

Today we had to implement many different plans, and in order to be able to do everything we got up early and went for breakfast at a restaurant of IHOP chain. Here they prepare familiar dishes for breakfast and more. We took some pancakes with syrup, as well as a couple of sandwiches on the road, because there was a long drive ahead.

The Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a must-see for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts in the vicinity of Monroe. Apart from unique plant and animal species, there are also truly picturesque landscapes. There are many paths and routes on the territory, where tourists can see all the most beautiful landscapes.

Another great place for outdoor activities in the Mississippi state is Lincoln Parish Park, located at some distance from major cities. It is loved by lovers of cycling and kayaking, and fishing from pier or motor boats is also allowed in the park. In addition, playgrounds, picnic areas and benches are available for all lengths.

On the way to Dallas, we were a little tired and decided to stop by and have a rest at the small restaurant Ol West BBQ near Shreveport. The atmosphere there turned out to be home-like cozy, and the menu is very diverse - a lot of different meat dishes, sandwiches, there is also a small children's menu. Among other things, we also tasted desserts, among which we especially liked banana pudding.

In the afternoon it was decided to make a small stop in Shreveport as well. We stopped near the center, it was quite lively, we decided to visit the central square of the city - Festival Plaza. Quite often there are city festivals and fairs, and the square is surrounded by quite a few different shops where you can buy a souvenir for yourself and your loved ones.

By this time we had been on the road for quite some time, so it was decided to make a small stop and visit the famous observation platform here The Magical Forest Full Of Unicorns. Many people gather here in the evenings to meet the sunset and enjoy the opening landscape.

We were already on our way to Dallas when we wanted to take a short turn to visit the Four Winds Steakhouse. In the evening it was quite cozy - dim lights, home furnishings. The menu included many different steaks, steaks and other dishes from chicken beef and pork.

We have already come close to the end of our trip, today we drove to the most beautiful places near Dallas, and tomorrow we are planning to see the city, so it is worth a good sleep and rest.
