    Porta Nigra

    You probably don’t know it, but you have dawned in a city considered by some to be the oldest in Germany. Also here, once a long time ago, a certain Julius Caesar spent the night after conquering Gaul.

    Konstantin-Basilika (Evangelische Kirche zum Erlöser)- Evangelische Kirchengemeinde Trier

    Built in the 4th century, this throne room of Emperor Constantine still today impresses with its enormous dimensions. It is the only Roman structure of its kind still standing. You won't believe this colossal structure, built without columns, has stood for over 1500 years.
    Its interior leaves a clear message of the magnificence worthy of its emperor. Today converted into a Protestant church, it is undoubtedly a place that you cannot miss from this city.
