Alzira, a Short Trek Through Waterfalls and the Village of Cofrentes
The route starts with the town of Alzira to visit its historic centre and the remains of medieval walls near the banks of the river Jucar.
Then the road goes into the nature, a bit further away from the Jucar riverbed. It's time to stop the engine and trek along the waterfalls near the town of Navarres.
A few kilometres further on, the river is bordered again, to drive along a scenic stretch of road, when the riverbed forms a canyon with high rock walls.
The last stop is in Cofrentes, a village where ancient volcanic eruptions have left their mark on the landscape.

One of the best viewpoints to observe the Jucar river flowing through the canyon. From here you can see the confluence of the rivers Jucar and Cabriel, forming a reservoir of great beauty and where the iron bridge stands out.
