The route starts with the town of Alzira to visit its historic centre and the remains of medieval walls near the banks of the river Jucar.
Then the road goes into the nature, a bit further away from the Jucar riverbed. It's time to stop the engine and trek along the waterfalls near the town of Navarres.
A few kilometres further on, the river is bordered again, to drive along a scenic stretch of road, when the riverbed forms a canyon with high rock walls.

Volcán de Cofrentes o del Cerro de Agrás

Arriving in Cofrentes, there is an area where the ground changes completely and the ashes and remains of volcanic rocks from old eruptions of the Agras volcano cover everything.
To observe this phenomenon, you drive to what was the old crater of the volcano, on the banks of the river Cabriel. Besides the black earth, the most surprising thing is to find big pieces of volcanic bombs, stones that have been expelled by the volcano.

From the other side the panoramic view changes completely, but it is still admirable. The castle of Cofrentes stands out at the top of the village, on top of a rocky outcrop 300 metres above sea level.
