There are an abundance of hiking trails along this trail and in a few of the cities. Take in the beautiful colorful houses tucked closely to the waterline or enjoy the cascading Steinsdalsfossen waterfall. Since you are here and if you want to stretch your legs with a stroll, there's a nice easy trail along Movatnet lake. This will give you great views of the Folgefonna Glacier and it can take around one hour to walk it there and back. Or you can rent a bike in the vicinity of the waterfall. There's even a nice place for lunch or to just relax with some tea. You can hear the roar of the waterfall while sitting at this restaurant.

Fjords & Waterfalls
Once you're back on the road, it's time to set for Hardangerfjord. The mountains surround the water and leave everything looking picturesque. The water acts like a mirror as the billowing mountains are duplicated in the water below. This area offers several places to hike.
Next part of the route, you take a ferry at Tørvikbygd ferjekai. On the way across, you'll get to see the nature at a different angle being fully submerged by it. Start heading towards Espelandsfossen waterfalls and be blown away by the scenic beauty as you drive. Once you had a chance to admire this waterfall, begin heading to the next amazing waterfall, Låtefossen Waterfall. Drive to the Røldal stave church to take in the wooden historic building from 1250. Fill up on delicious food from Roldalsterrassen with a great view. Finally, start heading back to Bergen.

Steinsdalsfossen Souvenir
Listen to the roaring of the waterfall as you enjoy a warm meal. This cafe is also a souvenir shop so you can get little nick-nacks to bring home. It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the waterfalls from here and the views are spectacular. It's open everyday from 8am-6pm.

Steinsdalsfossen
Steinsdalsfossen means, 'The Stone Valley Falls'. They have an unusual path that lets you explore behind the falls. It takes about 20 minutes there and back. Emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany was said to have favored this waterfall since he visited often between 1889 and 1914 (World War I).
Take in the historical bridge made of stone while you venture to the souvenir shop.

This waterfall tumbles down 165 meters and it's also a pretty known spot. The water rushes through an old historical stone six-arched bridge, which you get to drive on and have an even closer look at this waterfall. The road was built in 1867-1969.

This rushing waterfall is in the Oddadalen valley and it has the same name as another waterfall within Norway. The water gushes down from 75 meters and seems to be overflowing. Once you're done with the views, walk back to the parking lot for your car and get back on the scenic road.

Røldal stave church
