Today we will spend the whole day in Gatchina. There are a lot of interesting sights here. The origin of the palace and park ensemble dates back to the reign of Empress Catherine the Great. Here you can get in touch with history and visit more than 50 rooms of the palace with reconstructed interiors of that epoch.

Please note, for self-guided tours the Gatchina Palace is open from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00. From 12:00 to 14:00 visiting is only by sightseeing sessions.

The Priory Palace is a calling card of Gatchina. This unique structure was built in 1799 by the architect N. A. Lvov for the Knights of the Maltese Order, and is the only monument in Russia of earthwork construction in the late 18th century.
Working hours: Wednesday - Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday: day off

The park complex was founded in a picturesque place with beautiful White and Silver Lakes. Its founder is Count G. G. Orlov, and the date of foundation is the end of the XVIII century.
The palace park is open to visitors every day from 06:00 to 22:00.

One of the wonders of the Leningrad region, about which few people know - Gatchina geysers. They are located near the village of Korpikovo, along the river Paritsa. No one knows about the exact origin of the springs gushing out of the ground, there are many different versions. However, they exist and often attract the attention of tourists, as they are in a very picturesque place, and you will not regret it if you get to them.
There are six geysers in total. You can find the exact coordinates of each of them in advance and come purposefully, or you can come and walk around the area a bit and find them on your own.
To get to the geysers you can do the following. In the village of Korpikovo, on the Central Street, you need to turn left on the dirt road, towards the gardening. You can leave your car there and go on foot in search of geysers.
