    Searching for Dinosaurs in Burgos

    After a long, but beautiful drive through the Basque countryside into the province of Burgos, you will begin the day at the Dinosaur Museum of Salas de los Infantes.
    From here you will continue on your quest to find more fossils and life-size replicas of various dinosaurs spread throughout the historical archeological area. Many of the sites on this tour have been declared as Assets of Cultural Interest.
    The evening will be spent in the countryside by the river or your hotel pool, enjoying typical cuisine of the region and excellent wines.

    Castle of Lara de los Infantes

    Yacimiento Arqueológico "Las Sereas 7"

    This site, which extends of 5 km, is part of an ichnological megasite which dates back 144 million years spanning the Jurassic to the Creaceous periods.
    Here you'll observe some of the oldest dinosaur remains of this province, with over 1,000 footprints in the area.
    This particular site showcases 60 excellent footprints of sauropods and theropods.

    Yacimientos de Icnitas La Pedraja

    In this small area, you'll first find a life size replica of a Sauropod, one of the types of dinosaurs that used to roam this region.
    The site, which has more 123 dinosaur footprints including more sauropods and theropods, can also claim possible ornithopod tracks.

    This small, but excellent archeological and paleontological museum will thrill the children and all dinosaur-loving adults alike.
    In the Burgos region, over 800 footprints have been recorded. The Dinosaur Museum aims to educate and entertain with the hands-on exhibits and fossils.
    Here you'll find skeletal remains of dinosaurs as well as flora and fauna of the region's Mesozoic Era.
