Pick up your car in Nerja and drive from here to the Nerja Caves.

In 1959, a group of school boys playing ball discovered the caves by pure accident when their ball rolled out of sight. When they went to retrieve it, they found themselves in the mouth of an ancient - and previously unknown - cave system.
While the cave stretches nearly 5 km (3.1 miles), you'll only be exploring the largest of the five-million-year-old caverns.
Neanderthal cave paintings and skeletal remains, amongst the impressive stalagmites and stalactites, have been found in the caves showing evidence of early human inhabitants.
The audio guide will keep the kid's attention focused on all they are about to see and experience.
If you have time when you're finished, there's a fabulous children's park just behind the gift shop.
A small cafe with drinks and snacks is also onsite.

Just across the street from the Plaza is the extremely popular children's park. This is a great place to let the kids run off some steam after the drive up the mountain.

The old historic sugar cane factory isn't open for public viewing anymore but the exterior is fascinating to admire.
From here you can catch the tourist train that stops directly in front of this building or make your way by foot to explore this beautiful village.
The train takes about 30 minutes and has audio in both English and Spanish.
Ticket are bought directly on the train. Everyday 10:00 - 19:00

Return here to the garage to pick up your car and drive back to Cordoba.
There are plenty of places to stop, stretch and get gas or a snack off the autovia on the way back to Cordoba.
