We will travel to the south of the Leningrad region. We will visit the only museum in the world dedicated to the serf woman. We will visit an ostrich farm, where you will be charged with positive emotions for a year ahead. We'll have a rest on the lake. We'll even see Baba Yaga's hut. The highlight of our trip will be one of the main natural monuments of the Leningrad region - Sablinsky waterfall.
Today we will visit the house where Arina Rodionovna, Alexander Pushkin's nanny, lived with her family. We will visit the dacha village, which was considered the best in the XIX century. We will go on excursion to the manor where famous writer V. Nabokov lived. Nabokov.
The museum is dedicated to the serf Arina Rodionovna. She became the main woman in the life of Alexander Pushkin. Arina Rodionovna was the poet's nanny. The famous poem "Winter Evening" dedicated by Alexander Pushkin: "Well, my old lady, Silenced by the window?" The museum itself was opened in 1974. The hut, which houses the museum, was allocated to the family of Arina Rodionovna in 1795 by Mr. Hannibaly-Pushkin for her good service. Here she lived with her husband and children.
In the village of Siversky on top of a hill, which offers an amazing view of the Oredezh River, an interesting museum "Dacha Capital" was opened. In the nineteenth century, Siversky was considered the best dacha village near St. Petersburg. The museum was opened in the old wooden "Guest House", which is more than 120 years old. Blok, Bely, Hippius, Merezhkovsky, Mayakovsky, Chukovsky and Akhmatova once stayed here.
I suggest not going back from the past and visiting a cafe stylized as a nineteenth-century tavern. The interior here is decorated in the traditional Russian style: a Russian stove and wooden tables. The cuisine is authentically Russian.
Once upon a time a famous writer V.V. lived in these places. Nabokov, but during the revolution he and his family had to leave Russia. Now the estate houses an exposition telling about the history of the village, the fate of the estate owners, the life and work of Vladimir Nabokov. Please note: the museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday!
At the end of the day I suggest taking a walk or having a picnic on the shore of a picturesque water body - Lake Orlin.
I invite you to a very atmospheric place for dinner.
We're going to the ostrich farm. We will take a walk on the shore of the Green Lake and go to explore the Sablinsky waterfall, and on the way we will see another interesting attraction.
Before we go to the ostrich farm, we need a good meal!
Here you can see African ostriches, ducks and geese of different breeds of pheasants, cesars. Birds are on free grazing, which allows you to feed them.
The lake got its name for the fact that in some places the water in it acquires a weak emerald shade. It is surrounded by pine forests and has benches - a great place to relax.
It's a great trip, isn't it? And for it to be dynamic, come to the Gazpromneft filling station, take water and a snack.
We head to the hut of Baba-Yaga, and on the way we will have a snack in a nontrivial art cafe, it is located near the museum-estate of V. Nabokov and has an unusual design.
This hut has a very interesting story. It was built by a former businessman Vasily Kozin, who left his business and went to live in the countryside in the village Ulyanovka. He made the hut as realistic as possible, it is built in full size and mounted on a high cylindrical pedestal.
One of the main natural monuments of the region. There appeared a waterfall about 5 thousand years ago. It is the highest in the Leningrad region, its height varies from 3 to 4 meters in different seasons.
I offer dinner in a restaurant of Italian cuisine.
Today the plan is to spend the whole day in the museum-reserve "Gatchina" and visit the Gatchina Palace, the Priory Palace and the Palace Park. And the highlight of our trip will be "geysers" of unknown origin.
Breakfast and back on the road!
Today we will spend the whole day in Gatchina. There are many interesting sights to see. The appearance of the palace and park ensemble dates back to the reign of Empress Catherine the Great. Here you can get in touch with history and visit more than 50 rooms of the palace with recreated interiors of that era. Pay attention to the working schedule: Daily from 10:00 to 18:00. Monday is a day off Sanitation days are the first Tuesday of every month.
It's time for a snack. Why not do it in a Scottish bar? And whoever's not driving can also have a Kraft beer.
The Priory Palace is the visiting card of Gatchina. This unique structure was built in 1799 according to the plan of the architect N. A. Lvov for the Knights of Malta and is the only earthen construction monument of the late 18th century in Russia. Monday's the day off. Sanitation days are the first Tuesday of every month.
The park complex was laid out in a picturesque place with beautiful White and Silver Lakes. Its founder is Count G. G. Orlov, and the date of foundation is the end of the XVIII century. The park is open daily from 06.00 to 22.00, the entrance is free.
One of the wonders of the Leningrad region that few people know about is the Gatchina geysers. They are located near the village of Korpikovo, along the Paritsa River. Nobody knows about the exact origin of the springs striking from the ground, there are many different versions. However, they exist and often attract the attention of tourists, as they are in a very picturesque place, and you will certainly not regret it if you get to them. There are six geysers in total. You can find in advance the exact coordinates of each of them and come purposefully, you can come and walk around a little and find them yourself.
To complete our journey I'm glad to visit a popular place in Gatchina - cafe "Clock". We'll have dinner and go home.
