Plesheevo Lake National Park

Driving past Rostov, it would be a crime not to enjoy the views of Lake Nero, or as it was called in ancient times - "Rostov Sea". Despite the fact that the passage to the lake lies through the city, it is not very crowded, and the most beautiful views can be seen if you drive up from the Spaso-Yakovlevsky monastery.

It's a quiet and beautiful place. The spring was named after St. Barbara the Great Martyr, who lived in Phoenicia in the 16th century. It is believed that the water from the spring is pure, enriched with silver and has healing properties.

A lake in the south-west of Russia's Yaroslavl Region, part of the Plesheevo Lake National Park. The national park itself was created for the purpose of preservation of the unique natural-historical complex in the region of Pereslavl-Zalessky.
