    • Hike to the top of the Sierra del Maigmó.
    • Learn about the potter's craft passed down from generation to generation in Agost.
    • Admire the views from the castle of Castalla, on the edge of the natural park.
This route goes deep into the heart of the Sierra del Maigmó and some of the surrounding villages such as Castalla and Agost. On the route there will be time to learn about the potter's trade, so deeply rooted in the village of Agost, and to witness how a ceramic object is made, a true work of art. As the castles have their own special place in the area around the Maigmó, you will visit the castle of Castalla, which enjoys views of the hill and has a lot of history behind it. In the heart of the hills, the road leads to the Balcón de Alicante, a viewpoint that will leave you open-mouthed. But that's not all, because with a short trek from here you can reach the summit of Maigmó.

The visit to the Pottery museum is complemented by spending some time at this family pottery company. Emili Boix opens his workshop to anyone who wants to know about the pottery trade, a legacy passed down to him by his parents and grandparents. He is a true reference in Agost as far as pottery is concerned.
In addition, during the visit, he shows how an object is made working with the potter's wheel. If you go with children, it is surely a very good experience, as he gives them a small object made on the spot that they can decorate themselves.
Make sure to arrange a visit by sending an email to the owner.
After that, return to the parking area to pick up the car and drive to the hermitage.

    Restaurant
    Open Details
It is not a cheap restaurant to eat at based on the average price of other places in Alicante, but the quality of the food and the location make it very attractive.
Located on one of the edges of the hill of Maigmó, it's a place to relax and enjoy the food they make. The menu is very varied but if you go in the evening it is advisable to order something to nibble on, such as sautéed lamb sweetbreads or seafood such as grilled razor clams, red prawns or grilled octopus.
As it is a very busy place, it is advisable to make a reservation in advance on the official website of Meson Maigmó.
