Hike to the Castle!
Today you will be heading to Eltz Castle but you won't be driving all the way there! You'll park in the town of Moselkern and hike up the valley, taking in the stunning scenery on the way! So strap on your boots and get ready for a great day out!
Make sure to bring supplies for a lunch on the go as you won't have time for a lunch stop on the way!

Make a quick stop on the way to stretch your legs and see the Dombergkuppel!
Built in 2008 as a new focal point of the Domberg, the Domburg Dome reflects the sunshine on it's golden roof, drawing the eye from many miles away!

Time to start the hike!
Head West and follow the road all the way along to the start of the footpath! Once you reach the start of the hie, take a few minutes to take in the scenery and maybe snap a picture or two, then off you go!
The hike will take you through some truly stunning forest scenery, past ponds and along fantastic forest tracks! Be aware that in the summer it can get fairly busy with tourists, so if you are looking for a quieter walk then Spring & Autumn make for a more relaxing hike!

It is considered by many to be Europe's most beautiful castle and the epitome of a knight's castle!
The outer bailey can be entered free of charge. However, to enter the main bailey you must purchase a ticket.
