    • Check out ancient rock tombs carved into the cliffs.
    • Indulge in an outdoor hot mud bath.
    • Paddle through a mountain stream into a canyon.
    • Pretend you’re a gladiator in a huge Roman amphitheatre.
    • Look for an ancient sunken city on a glass-bottomed boat.
This 4-day circular trip around Southern Türkiye is like visiting a fantastic open-air museum and a health spa rolled into one.
For the history geek, the trip loosely follows the Lycian Way, a 500+km walking trail that stretches between Fethiye and Antalya and takes in the most significant Lycian archaeological sites. The ancient Lycians inhabited this region of Türkiye around the same time as the Greeks and Romans and were a wealthy and peaceful nation that operated as a federation of city states – the Lycian League. On this trip you’ll be visiting the ruins of four of their most significant cities where you can see the magnificent rock tombs carved into the cliffs, as well as amphitheatres, baths, and other buildings from ancient Rome.
For the more ‘laid-back’ geek, there’s a boat trip to a hot mud bath that promises to make you look 10 years younger, a visit to a traditional Turkish hammam (bath house) for a steam and a scrub, some floating in an inner tube along a gorge, and time to relax on some of the Turquoise Coast’s beautiful beaches.
And there’s a bit of magic at the end too – a walk to a fire-breathing mountain.
