A day between salt pans, museums and the Cathedral.

After a nice breakfast in your hotel, I suggest to walk a bit around the beautiful center of the town, to discover its beauty, starting from a walk along the walls of Tramontana, built under Spanish rule.

A little walk, and you will reach the beautiful Cathedral of Trapani.

This is an incredible place!!! The idea of this museum was born in Trapani in 2017 and is the result of a careful analysis of the limits of human perception and sensory illusions. The MOI will let you enter an exciting journey through the most famous illusions, many of which are studied in psychology: the Ames room, the room of gravity anomalies, Beuchet's chair and many other geometric, perspective, movement, ambiguous images and illusions of color. I'm sure you will take incredible photos and selfie to share on your social media, here! The museum is near to your b&b, but it opens only from 10, so you can decide to leave your hotel and directly go to this museum or, first, have a walk around as I suggested before!

I suggest to take your lunch in the Mediterranean restaurant "La Pepita", where the local chef Gianni will prepare one of the best pasta "Busiate con bottarga, pistacchio e gamberi". You will love it!

After lunch, with your car in some minutes you can reach the Salt Museum, located in an ancient windmill, within the Saline di Trapani and Paceco integral nature reserve.

Before going for dinner you will go to the city of Marsala to taste its fine wines. Sure, you can taste the Marsala wine, a meditation wine of international prestige and fame, the amber and sweet Moscato di Pantelleria that smells of the sun, the Bianco d’Alcamo, fruity and fragrant. These three DOC wines are accompanied by a myriad of other table wines, many with geographical denomination, white, red and rosé.

After the wine tasting, on the way to the bed you will have your dinner at a beautiful restaurant "Serisso 47", which is a Michelin guide restaurant! In an historical building in the center, under the ancient vaults of Favignana tuff, the chef of this elegant restaurant has been able to reinterpret the Trapani gastronomic tradition.
