- Go swim in the clear sea water in the Calanques.
- Eat great Mediterranean seafood.
The Calanques are a beautiful natural setting with white cliffs dropping in crystal clear blue sea, they look like fjords. It is a national park since 2012 and covers an area of 158 100 hectares, from which 90% belongs to the sea.
On this road trip, you will discover the calanques that are accessible by car but most of the national park is accessible by foot and boat. Try to avoid week-ends and public holidays as it can be very crowded in Summer. If you can go off season, it is better. Don't forget sunscreen, hat and swimwear. And don't leave any valuable visible in your car when you park it to go explore.
