Day 1: Welcome to the South-Eastern Coast of Sicily.

Welcome to the south east coast of Sicily. Today you will visit Syracuse with its wonderful historic center, Ortigia. You will have lunch in the best dairy in the area and you will go for a swim in one of the protected marine areas of the island, the Plemmirio.

Catania Fontanarossa Airport (CTA) (Aeroporto di Catania Fontanarossa)

Welcome to Sicily! I hope that the flight went well and that you are full of energy to be able to start this journey in the best possible way. Now rent a car and head to Syracuse.

Syracuse

Welcome to Syracuse, a city with a thousand-year history. It was the homeland of Archimedes, one of the most famous inventor from the antiquity. Its historic center, Ortigia, took on its present-day Baroque appearance with the reconstruction undertaken following the violent earthquake of 1693, but you can see all the ancient archaeological remains coming from the Ancient Greek city!

Duomo

Now you are ready to go to the central square of Ortigia where I recommend you visit the Cathedral of Syracuse, the most important church in the city that has now become a World Heritage Site.

Caseificio Borderi

After visiting the historic center you will surely be hungry. This is why I recommend you to go to the Borderi Dairy, where you can taste the typical products of our land and taste the best sandwiches in the province. I recommend you to let yourself be guided by the owners of the restaurant in choosing your sandwich.

Plemmirio

Welcome to the protected marine area of Plemmirio. Here you can admire the clear and clean water, swim and snorkel among the abundant marine life.

Varco Venti3

After taking a bath, go to Varco Ventitre, a place where you can enjoy the sunset with a cocktail in hand and then have dinner.

Day 2: Welcome to the European capital of the Baroque: Noto!

Today we will be in Noto, the European capital of the Baroque. You will taste the delights of Caffè Sicilia, taste the traditional Sicilian dishes and take a nice bath in the magnificent Vendicari oasis. You will end the day in the magnificent village of Marzamemi where you can enjoy the sunset with a nice glass of wine in hand.

Noto

Noto is my town and it is really incredible for its beauty! It was founded after the 1693 earthquake, and it has been declared as an UNESCO World Heritage sites, together with other cities in the Southern part of Sicily! If you want to discover all the UNESCO sites in Sicily, here is a suggested audiotour for you!

Caffè Sicilia

I recommend you to go to Caffè Sicilia, the most famous bar in the city thanks to the experience of the master Corrado Assenza who will make you taste his delicacies.

After enjoying a delicious granita with brioches, it is time to visit the historic center of Noto where you will admire the baroque architecture that made it a Unesco site.

Trattoria Fontana D'Ercole

It's lunch time. Head to the Trattoria Fontana d'Ercole where Corrado Rizza, the owner of the restaurant, will make you taste the dishes of the Sicilian tradition.

Welcome to the Vendicari Reserve, a natural oasis where you can admire the marshes in which birds like flamingos rest before moving on a long journey, visiting the ancient Tonnara and taking a bath in the splendid waters of the reserve.

Largo Balata

Take the car and go to Marzamemi, an incredible well-preserved village of fisherman! After visiting the wonderful village made up, in fact, of houses that once belonged to fishermen, you can sit in one of the bars in the square, have an aperitif and enjoy another fantastic sunset.

Cortile Arabo

You can choose from many restaurants where to dine. This is the restaurant that I recommend because the fish dishes are truly unique.

Day 3: Welcome to Ispica and Punta Cirica.

The ispica tour will keep you busy all morning with its churches and the quarry that must be visited. A quick lunch based on fresh fish and then you can immediately go for a swim in Punta Cirica, one of the most evocative places on that coast.

Give yourself an hour to enjoy a good ice cream at Bruno's. It will give you the right energy to face the day.

Now take your car back to go and visit the Ispica quarry. A valley, immersed in the typical vegetation of the Mediterranean scrub, which preserves prehistoric necropolises, Christian catacombs, rock oratories, monastic hermitages and residential areas of various types that have followed one another continuously from prehistoric times until at least the end of the 1600: it was, in fact, destroyed by the 1693 earthquake and finally abandoned.

La Lampara

Do you get hungry? Here is the restaurant I have chosen for you. You can decide whether to eat meat or fish dishes.

Punta Cirica

Welcome to Punta Cirica. A perfect place to rediscover the beauty of wild and unspoiled places. The bathroom is mandatory! Enjoy your relax.

Avola

Here we are on our last day. I suggest to have a little wonderful swim, before leaving your hotel, and then we will drive to Avola to taste, firstly, the latest delights of Sicily and visit the city's waterfront.

Bar Girlando

I recommend you to go to Bar Girlando to enjoy your last breakfast with a cannoli or a granita at a very low price.

Tonnara di Avola

After breakfast, you can visit the Tonnara of Avola and, if you want, you can take the opportunity to take the last swim of this trip.

Paninoteca Liotta

I have reserved this gem for you for the last day. This lunch is not suitable for vegetarians. You will have a wide choice of beef, chicken, pork or horse meet. What I recommend is definitely the horse. If you are a vegetarian you will have a wide choice of places nearby where you can go for lunch.
