The castle of Buñol has two main features: its state of conservation is excellent, and it is inhabited by houses whose courtyard is precisely what used to be the parade ground of the fortress. Part of the walled enclosure houses the archaeological and ethnographic museums.
Crossing one of the gates of the parade ground, you reach the bridge that spans the difference in level of the Venta ravine and connects the upper and lower parts of the fortress. From here there are splendid views of the historic centre of Buñol.
The visit can be made on your own or with a guided tour, which you can book in advance on the official Buñol tourism website.

So, you can choose between several rice options: caldoso, black, fideua. Always accompanied by a good glass of wine, of course!
You can leave your car in the streets close to the restaurant and continue exploring the town on foot after lunch.

After years of neglect, the refurbishment project finally came to fruition and today the interior of the church can be enjoyed.
The particularity of the refurbishment is that it mixes its old style with modern touches. The façade, tower, and vault have been restored to their original state, but on one part of the church roof a transparent glass dome was built, which creates a nice contrast and through which the original dome can be observed.
A lift has been added to the church to take you up to the tower to see the city from above.

This palace retains its former lustre, but its interior has been converted into a wine museum, where Requena shows visitors how its history is linked to wine production. There are antique objects used for the production of wine, historical cellars, videos, and screens with explanations.
