A wonderful example of military architecture filled with history. The views alone from the top are worth the visit. Built by the Genoese between the 16th and 17th centuries, its purpose was to increase security in the area and then later used as a prison during both World Wars.

The small village of Acqui Terme is definitely worth a stop because of it's unique personality. Thanks to the Roman Aqueduct and the hot springs in the area, the tow has become known for its incredible spa and wellness treatments. Walk around town and find beautiful fountains.
