On your way to Wolfsburg, make it a point to stop by the Helmstedt area. This area features a number of small streets that lead you off the main road, similar to an alleyway. There are some of the finest bars in this city and the atmosphere is very festive. This art museum is famous for its collection of modern and contemporary art. The museum offers different viewing times throughout the year, so make sure you check out what times they have before making your trip.
The museum is relatively new and well-designed. There is ample space for movement and you can easily go through the entire collection in about an hour. The large-scale paintings along with the wide-open spaces throughout the museum provide a truly enjoyable experience. While leaving the museum make sure you book your tickets for the evening at the Planetarium Wolfsburg, which is right beside the museum. You can also book the tickets before starting the journey.

After booking your tickets head out for Phaeno Science Center, just a short drive from the museum. The Phaeno Science Center is a very engaging and interactive science center for children. The center focuses on natural sciences and offers an array of displays, exhibits, and activities that are impressive for kids of all ages.
There are also two added features that I found very helpful. One is the play area for children with special needs and two, is the planetarium which shows real movies instead of the usual dry material.

The Autostadt is home to the world's biggest car museum, Volkswagen. The museum takes you on a journey through the history of car making from early steam-powered cars to modern electric and hybrid cars. Like Phaeno Science Center, there are also some interactive displays that will keep children engaged as they learn about vehicles and how they work. You definitely can't miss this one-stop and it will be interesting for both adults and children alike. Opening and Closing time: 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Just a short walk from the Autostadt museum you will find this restaurant called Amano, which offers a fantastic view as you look over the factory cars below while enjoying your food. The restaurant is open year-round and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu includes different types of food, from pasta to pizza and more, but I highly recommend stopping by for a quick bite after visiting Autostadt. Next on the list is the Volkswagen Arena, which is one of the club's most storied football venues. The arena is known for its excellent acoustics and offers a beautiful view of the stadium as you take in the sounds of the game. The actual venue is a soccer stadium with stands in front and behind, both for home and away fans. Relax and enjoy your evening at the Allerpark, which is right in the middle of the city. The park is beautifully landscaped and has an impressive pond. While there, enjoy your picnic or grab something from one of the many vendors in the area who offer a variety of food and drinks. As you walk through the park, there are different flowers to admire and a large playground for kids to enjoy. After taking a break from all of the walking, make sure to head over to the Planetarium. We’re sure you are done with the booking of tickets by now. The interior of the planetarium is very well-designed and offers many exhibits for kids and adults alike. You can attend the planetarium shows with or without the accompanying cinema movie, which is about 30 minutes long in English, German and French. After the Planetarium, make your way over to the Designer Outlets Wolfsburg. The outlets are located right across Volkswagen Arena and offer a wide selection of both brand name and designer clothing. It is well-known that these stores only carry the best of what each designer has to offer and you would be hard-pressed to find something that isn't authentic.
