Inicio de Senda – Cerrada del Utrero
Park
Open Details
After a good breakfast at the hotel you can spend some time resting by the swimming pool (if it is summer) before the start the proposed hiking route for the morning.
The proposed route is to the Cerrada de Utrero and the Cascada de Linarejos (waterfall). There you can also see the Lapiaz de Linarejos, a particular natural landscape.
This is just one of the many routes that can be done in the area of Cazorla.
You have to get to where the map says: Inicio ruta senderismo Cerrada del Utrero. Just before crossing the river Guadalquivir is the beginning of the route. You can leave your car at the side of the road. Nearby there is a chiringuito (restaurant) which also has a parking.
The first part is a narrow path, but without difficulty. After passing the water dam, the path widens. The waterfall is about 60 metres high and is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the area.
The route takes you to the Linarejos viewpoint, the best place to see the waterfall. It also takes you to the Lapiaz de Linarejos, an area with rocks eroded by the action of wind and water.
The route is circular and can take an hour (or a little longer if you stop to take photos or test the water). You can see the route on wikiloc. Note that this may vary in some sections.
