Sfentoni Cave (Σπήλαιο Σφεντόνη)

As the reviews say, it’s the biggest cave of Crete and one of the most beautiful caves of Greece, yet not so popular as the Cave of Zeus. It’s located up in the mountains so better take something to cover your shoulders as it may be cold in the morning. Tours are guided each hour.

Kournas Lake (Λίμνη Κουρνά)

The only freshwater lake on the island where you can swim, rent a pedalo and even see some turtles! The place is a bit crowded, but not too much.

Seitan Limania (Σεϊτάν Λιμάνια)

Absolutely amazing place! A small hike down the cliff and you are in a heaven. Even if there are waves in the sea it's safe to swim here because of the bay's form.

Chania Old Port (Παλιό Λιμάνι Χανίων)

Make a stop here before the check-in to your hotel to have a walk along the bay in the evening. Dine in Chania or at the hotel if you've booked the half-board rate. Dinner at the hotel lasts till 21:30.

Самарийское ущелье

It's better to start your hike as early as possible. First buses with tourists arrive at about 7.30.

Here is a parking lot to leave your car before the hike. Taxi driver who will drive you back knows the road perfectly. Take food with you as well as something warm to wear, because it can be cold in the morning and in the shadows.

Agia Roumeli Beach

Buy a ticket to the ferry that leaves at 17:30 to Sougia. Rest at the beach while waiting. I bet you haven't seen sea water so clean as it is here.
