A Proper British Day Out!
Today, you'll be experiencing some British holiday favourites - a picnic on the beach, a stunning coastal walk to one of the best castles in the North and wrapping it all up with delicious fish and chips!

Morrisons
First stop will be the supermarket where you'll stock up for a 'proper British' beach picnic (if in doubt, sandwiches, scotch eggs and lots of crisps are always a winning option).

Warkworth Castle
Welcome to Warkworth Castle, a captivating medieval fortress with a rich history. You can tour its formidable stone walls, towers and gates. The castle's architecture reflects the transition from medieval military fortifications to more comfortable and ornate residences. You can wander around the great hall, kitchens and various chambers to get a glimpse of medieval life.
The castle is situated in a picturesque location, next to the River Coquet and surrounded by beautiful countryside. From here you can enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape.

After breakfast, it's time to get in the car and continue up the coast to the town of Warkworth.
Once you arrive you'll want to head to the nearest supermarket or shop and pick up supplies for a 'proper British' beach picnic. (If in doubt then sandwiches, scotch eggs and lots of crisps are always a winner!)

Warkworth Beach
One of my all-time favourite UK beaches, Warkworth is great year-round (although it's chilly in the winter so bring something warm if traveling over the colder months!)
Spread out your picnic blanket and spend an hour or so enjoying the sound of the waves and the fresh North Sea air!

Next stop Seahouses! Leave your car in the car park.
Then head down to the beach to start your stunning coastal walk!
Make sure to stick to the coast the whole way. You don't need to walk on the road at all!

Bamburgh Castle
Open every day from 10 am-5 pm, Bamburgh Castle is one of North England's most impressive fortifications!
Spend an hour or so exploring the castle before heading back to Seahouses for some food!
If you're feeling up to it then why not walk back along the coast!
If you'd like a less physical route back then head into Bamburgh and hop on the bus back to Seahouses.

Lewis's Fish
Your final stop! No 'Proper British Day Out' would be complete with the nation's favourite ... fish and chips!
Lewis's Fish Restaurant has established a reputation in the local area as one of, if not THE best place to go for traditional fish and chips!
While this may be what they are known best for, Lewis's also offers other seafood options as well as a range of vegetarian dishes!
For a truly British experience, get your meal takeaway and sit overlooking the harbour, but don't forget to watch out for those seagulls!
