Day 1

From Roman to Romanesque
The first day of the tour will begin with a stop in Alesia, where you will discover the remnants of a Gallo-Roman town.
From there, you will drive to Fontenay Abbey and Vézelay, two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In between, you will enjoy lunch in the historic town of Noyers, on the shore of the Serein river.

Roman and Roman-Catholic Gems on the Way to Autun
The second day of the tour will include a visit to Château de Bazoches, where you will learn about the life led by Maréchal Vauban in the castle.
You will then continue with exploring Saulieu, where you will see one of the most impressive cathedrals in Burgundy and learn about local art, folklore, and gastronomy at the Pompon Museum.
The end of the day will catch you in Autun, where you'll still have plenty of time to visit a Roman temple and an amphitheater, and Cathédrale St-Lazare before turning in for the night.
