Learn about the art of glasswork at this museum and crafts hub in Jevnaken. Founded in 1762, Hadeland Glassworks is an artistic playground where adults and children alike can appreciate the beautiful craftsmanship of the glassblowers and have a go at making your own creations. The nine on-site shops also give you the opportunity to choose a unique piece of art as a memento of your trip.

Be a viking for the day at this archaeological site and heritage park in Hønefoss which has activities for the whole family to enjoy. Visit a cemetery that dates back to the Iron Age, simulated battles, and a museum all on-site. The museum has a rota of different exhibitions throughout the year, so depending on when you go, you could be viewing artefacts from the Stone Age, Ice Age, or get an in-depth look at how the area's former residents lived thousands of years ago. You'll also use this time to grab some lunch from the on-site café.

It wasn't just the vikings who roamed these lands--500 million years ago, a meteorite crashed into this site, creating a crater measuring 5 kilometres in diameter. You can drive your car straight into the middle of this crater and take a photo from both inside and outside before heading back to continue the rest of your route.

Rjukandefossen is considered one of the most popular waterfalls in the region due to its proximity to the Hemsedal town centre and the ability for visitors to feel the rush of the waters beneath them as they cross over on a hanging bridge. You can park your car in the parking lot opposite the Rjukandefossen campsite. There'll be a small sign and a path leading towards the forest and straight to the falls from there.

Your first night in Flåm begins at the Flåmstova Restaurant, which serves their cosy menu inside a rustic , traditional building. Salmon tartar, oven-baked halibut, and coconut pann cotta will be sure to tantalise your taste buds.
Dinner service runs daily 6 pm - 9 pm from June-October.
