Visit to the old Kolomna and crocodile farm near the city

The Kolomna Kremlin was built almost at the same time as the Moscow Kremlin. Therefore they are a little bit similar. The main difference is that inside the Kolomna Kremlin there are still residential constructions of townspeople, and the towers are much smaller - only four.

The monument to the great Russian warrior-prince is installed in Kolomna for a reason. It was here that Dmitry Donskoy gathered his army to oppose Mamay and defeat the enemy at the Kulikovo field.

The first buildings appeared on this square back in the XIV century. The main building is the Dormition Cathedral. It keeps the icon that was with Dmitry Donskoy during the battle with Mamai on the Kulikovo field. In 2007 a monument to Cyril and Methodius was erected on the square.

Pyatnitskie gate was the main gate of the Kolomna Kremlin. On the top there hung an alarm bell, ringing of which warned of dangers.

Few people know about the existence of a rabbit farm in the Moscow suburbs. It is a very interesting place, especially for children! There are more than fifty crocodiles of different species on the farm. Watching them and even feeding them with meat from a fishing rod is very entertaining.
In addition to crocodiles there are some pets: cows, sheep, goats, horses and donkeys. The mini-zoo contains iguanas, snakes and a chameleon. The farm also has gastronomic purposes. Cheese, cottage cheese and yoghurt are produced here and grape snails are bred for sale to restaurants.
