The fairytale charm of Lake Como

Right in the morning we go to Lake Como. It is very picturesque, the third largest in Italy and very deep! Lake Como is surrounded by mountains, like a good diamond setting.
The azure sky, the azure sea - the beauty is breathtaking! On the shore you can take a boat and continue your journey right on the water! The views are wonderful, do not forget to take pictures and videos. And did you notice how fresh the air is? Walk, walk, be filled with beauty.

The fresh air makes me hungry! We have breakfast at the art cafe. They say the croissants here are the most delicious in all of Italy!

We begin our tour of the city of Como with the central square. The magnificent square overlooks the marvelous, airy cathedral. It took four centuries to build and was finished in 1770. Because of that one can see the obvious mixture of styles - Gothic and Baroque, but it does not detract from its beauty. Consider the figures on the facade, and take pictures, take pictures.

The dominant feature of Saint Fidel Square is the temple that bears his name. In the third century, St. Fidel preached in this area. Modest on the outside, this Romanesque basilica surprises inside with beautiful Baroque interiors with a marble altar and magnificent frescoes. An unearthly light streams through the high windows and transforms everything around it. The square itself is very old and used to be the site of a grain market.

Now let's take the cable car up the mountain. The bird's-eye view of the lake and the city is wonderful. Here you can see the emerald domes of the cathedral. And the view of the lake Como just wonderful! The lake is clear as a shimmering crystal, then in a light haze. The nature here is amazing, because this is the North of Italy, almost the border with Switzerland, and even in the mountains.
If after climbing the mountain to the right, you will find yourself on the observation deck, it also has a wonderful view of the lake. It's a great place to relax.

This is where we'll have lunch up here. What wonderful views we have here! And the food is just fabulous. You can feel right away that it's cooked from the heart. Have fun and enjoy the moment.

After coming down, we go to the beach. A full program of relaxation! Sunbathing and fresh air, wonderful!

On the shores of Lake Como there are gorgeous villas. One of them is the Villa del Grumello, built in the 18th century. In the 2000s it was reconstructed and is now a joy to visit for conferences, master classes, concerts and educational events. Going back to tradition, the luxurious stables and greenhouses were restored here as well. So now to see everything, let's go for a walk through the park.

After the walk, it would be nice to have dinner! Again we choose a place with a view of the lake and sit outdoors. A great place and hot Argentine cuisine. The service is unobtrusive and welcoming.

It's time to go back... Ah, I hate to leave the Como I like so much. But it's time to rest, and tomorrow you have a road home.
