If there is one place in the world to enjoy nature and pure life, it is Costa Rica!
On this amazing four-day route through Costa Rica you will understand why the country's slogan is Pura Vida (Pure Life) and live unforgettable experiences.
The route proposes to visit some of the most beautiful national parks of the country, such as the beaches of Manuel Antonio or the Arenal and Poas volcanoes. Here you can enjoy the vegetation, the landscapes and come face to face with many animals. You can even join a kayak or surfing lesson on the beaches!
You can also go canopying, zip-lining and cross suspension bridges between the cloud forests of Monteverde and La Fortuna. In La Fortuna, you can enjoy the hot springs that originate from the presence of volcanoes.
You will also learn how Costa Rican coffee and chocolate are made (and, of course, taste them many times!) and how the typical multicoloured carts that transport these products are produced.
It will be four days full of nature and adventure, where you will also taste the typical food and take thousands of pictures!
Note: This route can be done all year round, but it is best to avoid the rainiest months. It is not easy to know which are the rainiest months because they vary in different parts of the country. In general, September and October tend to be the rainiest months, but that doesn't mean you can't travel during these months. You just have to be more careful on the road and more patient because some activities will not be possible. The driest months (although it does rain) are December to April. Remember to wear comfortable shoes, sun protection and rain gear. Also bring a jacket and a swimming costume.

Animals and Beaches in Carara and Manuel Antonio National Parks
Welcome to the first day of this incredible journey through the nature of Costa Rica!
The proposal of the day is to visit the Manuel Antonio National Park (one of the most beautiful in the country) and its nearby beaches. But on the way you will also stop at the Carara National Park.
In the Carara National Park, you can take a short hike on one of the trails through a transitional forest. It is also one of the best places for bird watching.
In Manuel Antonio National Park you can visit some of the most beautiful beaches in this part of Costa Rica and do several trails with viewpoints. If you are lucky, you will also be able to see many animals in the park, such as sweet sloths, howler monkeys, birds and reptiles.
On the beaches outside the park you can also take a surfing, kayaking or windsurfing lesson.
If there is time, you can enjoy the hotel's swimming pool and then watch the sunset from a bar and have dinner in Quepos, the town near Manuel Antonio Park.

Chocolate, Coffee and Night Hikes in Monteverde
Start the second day on the road to get to know the wonderful nature and culture of Costa Rica!
On this day you will leave the beach aside to immerse yourself in the mountains and cloud forests. The proposal is to reach the small town of Monteverde, a mountainous and very green area of Costa Rica.
There, you can take a chocolate or coffee tour and do some trekking through the cloud forest. You can also join a night walk to see nocturnal animals.
As the journey is long, you will be able to make a few short stops on the way to Monteverde, like in La Herradura or/and El Faro de Puntaarenas.
You will sleep in Santa Elena, a town near Monteverde, with more services for tourism.

Volcanoes and Tropical Landscapes
The last day of this incredible route through Costa Rica has arrived. Today will be a day of volcanoes and tropical landscapes, but also of colourful villages and carts.
As always, it is suggested to start the day early as the journey between one place and another is often long. The first destination is the Arenal Volcano National Park, where you can hike up to the cold lava flows.
Then, if time permits, you can visit the beautiful Poas Volcano crater in Poas Volcano National Park. If it is not possible to visit it, you will still enjoy the way.
In the afternoon you will visit the village of Sarchí, where the typical Costa Rican carts with their characteristic colours are produced. You can buy souvenirs and have your picture taken with a giant cart.
Before returning to the centre of San José it is suggested a stop in the outskirts for a delicious dinner.
Don't forget to bring comfortable clothes and some snacks in the car for the longer trips. Enjoy the beautiful nature of Costa Rica.
