    Cliveden House

    Country Palace Cliveden was built in 1849-1851. Lord Astor at one time invested a lot of money in the estate, the baroque sculptures in the garden were brought from Italy. And his wife, Lady Astor, who was elected to the British Parliament, organized soiree and very soon the Cliveden Palace became the favorite meeting place of London secular society.
