A Day Filled With Art and Nature

Begin your morning with a walk down Atlantic Avenue to Over the Bridge Café, a casual breakfast spot that's popular with the locals and those visiting Delray Beach. Traditional breakfast plates and sandwiches are on the menu, or splurge with the Loaded Breakfast Tot-Chos: tater tots baked with eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, cheddar cheese, and more. Healthier options are on the menu, too.
Note: If you drive from Opal Grand to Over the Bridge Café, there is a parking lot behind the building.

After breakfast it's time to take the self-guided tour of the Delray Beach Art Trail, curated by the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority, which oversees the Delray Beach Visitor Information Center.
Using the city's interactive Google map, follow the trail as it highlights more than 40 murals and art installations throughout all of Delray Beach and its neighborhoods. Along the way you'll also pass galleries and boutiques, so it's best to take your time and take it all in.

After the Art Trail, head back to A1A, also known as South Ocean Boulevard, for a casual lunch across the street from the beach. Boston's on the Beach is the perfect spot to grab a fresh mahi mahi sandwich and wash it down with a cool adult beverage. Or, as the name indicates, the lobster roll at Boston's is always a hit.

After lunch, walk across the street to the Opal Grand to reclaim your car – you're spending the afternoon at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens.
Take the free self-guided tour of the six gardens along a mile-long path right from your smartphone. Morikami’s gardens are named Roji-en, or Garden of the Drops of Dew. Designed by Hoichi Kurisu, the gardens are replicas of those that are of significance in Japan, including a Bonsai collection and a therapeutic walking garden.

Before starting back to Miami, pull into The Sea South East Asian Kitchen for an early dinner.
The menu here is a pescatarian's dream come true, filled with all types of sushi, nigiri, and sashimi, along with fried rice, dishes from the wok, dumplings, bao buns, salads, soups, and much more.

Arrive back in Miami but before you return to your accommodations for the night, stop in at Area 31 on the rooftop of the Kimpton EPIC Hotel for a nightcap. The views from the top of the hotel are dazzling, and so are the cocktails.
