Experience the Beauty of Bergen's Fjords and Explore Osterfjord and Mostraumen

Welcome to Bergen, the city of fjords. A fjord is a long, narrow, deep inlet of the sea between high cliffs, as in Norway, typically formed by submergence of a glaciated valley. You are now driving over the Nordjordland Bridge over the North Sea. There are more than 20 thousand bridges in Norway, but this one is special. It is unique in that it combines a floating bridge and a cable-stayed bridge. This bridge has been called a technical innovator, and it is believed to be the only one of its kind in the world.

You will begin your adventure along this scenic route, which features Osterfjord. The road here is breathtaking, you'll drive along the coast and enjoy every inch of it!
The Osterfjord is one of three fjords surrounding Osterøy, and the fjord that is closest to Bergen. This fjord is 27 kilometers long, 1-3 kilometers wide. You can stop at Ostereidet Kro for a quick bite since they have excellent food and is a great place to stop by.
After delicious meals, you may stroll to the coast and take memorable pictures there.

Remember that unique bridge? Next to it is a German coastal fort from World War II called Tellevik. Now it is a monument, which you can see from the bridge or go down to it closer.

Den grøne fabrikken is a great place for a light afternoon time to relax and enjoy the day with family and friends. You can go for a swim here and see the beauty surrounding.

After all that fun in the sun, it is time to head over to Empoli Pizzeria for some delicious lunch. This elegant pizzeria will be sure to leave you with licking your fingers.

Next on your journey you will come across as delicious waterfall just in view from this narrow winding road. Hesjedalsfossen is a beautiful landmark situated next to an old stone bridge and tunnels through the mountain. Take some time here to take in the beauty of the waterfall cascading into the fjord.

Next on this route, you will be amazed to discover 7,000-year-old rock carvings in this ancient outdoor museum. Here you will find a tranquil atmosphere to relax and maybe even sit around a camp fire. This is an open air museum, and it is open to the public all day every day.
