Until the XIX century the monastery was completely wooden. The first stone building on the territory of the monastery was the Vvedensky temple with a warm side-altar in honour of the Tikhvin icon of the Mother of God. It was built in 1817.
In 1910 instead of the wooden temple that stood over the graves of Alexander Svirsky parents according to the project of diocesan architect A.P.Aplaksin a cathedral of the Epiphany with three side-altars was constructed in Neo-Russian style, but it didn't survived until now.
