    Citadel of Huy

    The citadel of Huy is a Belgian fort that was first built back in 9th century. It has seen many structures and remodeling over time, including one made by Napoleonic France which still stands today!
    Raised over the Meuse river, the remains are the highest point of the city. Let's have a quick break before continuing the route. Enjoy the stunning view and take some pictures.

    Adventure Valley Durbuy

    Durbuy is the smallest town in the world! In Belgium, the town is known for its great diversity of fun outdoor activities. Today, you are going to explore the biggest adventure park of the country.
    The adventure pass gives you access to a wide range of activities: a 3D maze, the beaver dam, a bike park, click & Climb, speleo experience, treetop park and many more activities are on the program. You will spend about 4h in the park including lunch so the recommendation is to chose from 2 to 3 activities. After buying your ticket online, you will be able to select the activities you'd like to do.

    1. The treetop park (try to start here as it gets crowded in the afternoon)
    2. The speleo experience: The adventure awaits you in the underground world. Explore an unexplored sector of caves with uniquely carved rock formations.

    Durbuy with the Ourthe and its tributaries was once well equipped with mills. The Aubes mill is a well-preserved one. Did you know that the beer glasses used to be designed in order to provide the best taste and aroma? Each bottle and glass carries a very unique heritage!

    Le chalet De La Foret

    he building of the restaurant was built in the late 1800's to house quarry workers. Over 100 years later, it became a hotel and then had two different names before we took over with our renovation project which started back 2015! The restaurant now called Le chalet de La Foret offers welcomes you in an incredible setting offering a Belgian cuisine to die for! All the products are locally sourced from the farmers and they have their own smokehouse.
