Near the village of Gostylitsy there is a memorial dedicated to the Oranienbaum bridgehead. During the war there was a defence line here, which played an important role in protecting the city from the enemy. Here stands one of the monuments of the memorial complex "Green Belt of Glory" - "January Thunder".

Копорская крепость

The next stop on our journey will be in the village of Koporje. Here is a monument of medieval defensive architecture in Russia - Koporskaya fortress. The fortress is being reconstructed, for the time being it is possible to see it only from outside.

We're staying for lunch in Pine Forest. The restaurant "Spice & Passion" serves Japanese, Italian, Russian and Mediterranean cuisine. Relaxed atmosphere and delicious food will help you to relax and gain strength in front of the road.

Шепелёвский маяк

In the afternoon we move towards the Gulf of Finland. Here stands the symbol of the South Coast Path - Shepelevsky lighthouse. Having arrived here, we can see rare animals and plants, which are listed in the Red Book. At the top of the lighthouse there is an observation deck with a panoramic view of the Gulf of Finland.

Форт Красная Горка

In our journey there will be another place connected with Oranienbaum bridgehead - Fort Krasnaya Gorka. On the territory of the fort there are 2 museums, military equipment and a memorial to soldiers. The peculiarity of the museums is that nobody forbids to touch the exhibits.

Музей маячной службы

The first place we will visit in Kotlin will be a museum dedicated to the lighthouse service. Here we will be shown models of lighthouses, lenses from 1857, and interesting facts about the life and service of lighthouse keepers. Some of the exhibits are in working condition and it will be possible, for example, to signal during the fog. * The museum is open from 12:00 to 8:00, except Mondays *

Форт 2-й Северный

On the way to Saint-Petersburg we are going to see 7 forts, two of which we will visit. The second fort was built on one of the 7 embankment islands. This fort has a view of Kronstadt and the first one.

Форт 1-й Северный

The next fort was closed to the public for a long time, which helped it to be better preserved. You can walk inside, but you have to be careful. There are a lot of signs on the territory of the fort that will help you to know its history better.

Двести два

After a long day you can relax and have dinner in the restaurant "Two hundred and two". Modern interior, dishes of European cuisine and pleasant view outside the window will help to remove tired from the road.
