So you made it to the mountains. Have a bite to eat in a simple café and go on to meet the adventure.

After lunch we go to the Guam Gorge. It is about 5 kilometers long and 400 meters deep.
The narrow-gauge railroad from Mezmai to Guamka, which was built in 1928-1932 mainly by prisoners and used to transport timber, runs here.

There is a tourist train every 30 minutes. Keep in mind that hiking in the gorge is possible only until 08:00 and after 19:00. During the day tour of the gorge is possible only on the sightseeing locomotive. To find out the cost and the train schedule, visit official website.
Please note that the gorge is closed to visitors on Tuesdays.

In winter, you will encounter a lot of icy snow and icicles on the way, so be vigilant.
The cave is visited rather rarely, as it is located a little away from the main route, but its scale will impress anyone! A good guide to find the natural landmark will be the creek that flows out of its entrance. You can find the cave if you go straight through the gorge and turn slightly to the left. Use the map!
You should turn left near the cafe "1707". You'll have to ford or cross the creek on ice, so dress for the weather. The ford can be found just upstream of the crossing, which works in the summer. When you get to the other side, you will need to climb the poorly visible trail up 200 meters and walk another 460 meters.
Please note that this point is optional, and if you don't feel up to it, you can spend the entire walk in the gorge itself without leaving the road.
