To visit the bison and the Russian national biathlon team

Throughout the year at the Oka Reserve, you can visit the Visitor Center with the Nature Museum and take guided tours of the area. At the Visitors' Center you will get a bird's-eye view of the Reserve's territory, virtually visit its different corners, see water bodies and landscapes and learn about rare species of plants and animals. You can also use a "time machine" at the Visitor Centre and travel back in time to learn a lot of interesting facts about the territory of the reserve. In the Museum of Nature you will get a complete idea of the animal world of the reserve: more than 200 animals of the Meshchera nature are shown here in separate biogroups. The excursion route through the territory of the reserve is very interesting and includes three blocks. At first you get acquainted to the Reserve. You will be told about the Reserve, its activities and nature. Then you will visit the Rare Crane Nursery. Here all seven species of cranes of Russia live: gray crane, Siberian crane, Siberian crane, red-crowned crane, Japanese crane, Daurian crane, Canadian crane, and black crane. You will learn about each species, the nursery and methods of crane breeding. At the end of the route visit the Bison Nursery. You will see purebred Caucasian-Belovezhskiy bison and learn more about these animals. The total length of the route is about 2 km. You can choose separate excursions from the route if you wish. The Visitor Center and the Museum of Nature are open for visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To visit the excursion routes you also need to contact the Visitor Centre. Tours are conducted according to the following times: 10:30, 12:30, 14:30, 16:00 (at 12:30 only tours to nurseries are conducted). Visits to the Nurseries are only carried out with a guide! Please note - payment for visiting of excursion sites is accepted by area guide before the start of excursion in the Visitor Center, payment is possible only by cash. We'll have lunch in an atmospheric beautiful restaurant. It serves both traditional Russian and European cuisine: homemade noodles with mushrooms, stewed cabbage, peasant soup in bread, currant, sterlet, pies, barrel pickles!

And in the afternoon we'll have a biathlon! We will visit the place where the Russian national team is training - Diamond Biathlon Complex.
There are ski slopes over 10 kilometers long, a shooting range for air biathlon at 20 borders, a shooting range at 30 firing lines, stands for 300 seats and an illuminated 3.3 kilometer ski roller track. There is a gym and an electronic shooting gallery in three heated buildings.
You will be able to shoot with small caliber or air guns and repent on the ski or ski roller tracks!
