Enchanting Castles and Villages Surrounded by the Alps
If the first day was already a surprise, the second day you will fall in love with it. You start with the castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The story goes that Walt Disney was inspired by the way these castles were built to design the iconic Disney Park.
After a walk through the forest to reach the castle's viewpoints, the trail continues to two picture-perfect churches. The church of Wies has earned its declaration as a World Heritage Site.
Finally, we visit the village of Oberammergau, one of the most beautiful villages in the Bavarian Alps, with its houses with wooden balconies, many of which are completely painted with murals.
