A Day in Camogli in Between Beach and Sea Life

After waking up in Genova and enjoying your breakfast it's time to hit the road towards east!

After entering the town of Camogli and having found a parking for your car nearby the train station, you can head straight to the promenade all the way to the end where the Faro is.
On the way to the Faro (lighthouse) - you'll always have gorgeous landscapes on your left!

This fortress is located only a few steps away from the lighthouse you have just visited. Its location - so close to the water - makes it really charming. Built during the XIII century from Genoa Republic in order to defend the town from marine attacks.

The Basilica of Camogli is the biggest church in town and the one that is offering amazing architecture and interiors.
Definitely worth a stop on the way to your lunch.

Time for lunch - what else could you get in Camogli if not fresh seafood delivered to you straight from the sea? In this little Trattoria you will get local seafood from local fishermen.

Enjoy the midday sun in the beautiful beaches straight next to the village. During summer time, a nice marine breeze will skim your skin, making your stay on the beach never too hot.

Time to get back into your car and drive up to San Rocco, direction east, to enjoy a little hike in the nature and admire the Gulf from the above.
With this path you could get all the way down to the seaside: go as far as you like to!

There's nothing as romantic as enjoying an aperitivo starting at the sunset and the villages from above. This place is a mandatory stop on your trip.

After having enjoyed a full day in Camogli, it's time to move for a few kilometers onto the next stop of your trip: Portofino. This evening you will enjoy a nice dinner and get yourself comfortable in a hotel straight in the old town.

Before heading to your overnight stay, you will enjoy dinner in this wonderful place on the Portofino Gulf. The menu is various but - as you are visiting marine villages - seafood is strongly recommended.
