Fantastically beautiful Montserrat mountain range is located 50 km away from Barcelona. The Benedictine monastery, a spiritual symbol and religious center of Catalonia, is hidden among the rocks and thousands of pilgrims from all over the world flock to it every year. The monastery, which was built in the 9th century, got the same name as Montserrat, which means "cut" or "serrated mountains". Now there are 80 Benedictine monks living on the territory of the monastery.

The L'Eixample neighborhood near Plaza Catalunya is home to the cosy Vinitus Barcelona tapas bar. It has become a favorite place not only for tourists, but also for locals, which indicates the high quality of the dishes served. The Magic Fountain of Montjuic is the famous fountain of Barcelona, famous for its light and music performances. Quite close to the fountain is the most important monument for the Catalans - Four Columns, symbolizing the moral independence of their homeland in Spain. In 1928, they were torn down, but in 2010 they were rebuilt. Theatrical performances are based on classical and contemporary music, as well as soundtracks of popular movies. Shows are in the evening, on weekends from April to October. The main fountain is visible far enough away, so there are several points in the vicinity from which it can be successfully observed. The fountain is capable to please the audience with hundreds of compositions of water jets and various lighting effects, which are constantly improved.
