The Adventure Science Center is a hands-on learning lab for kids and their families. There are plenty of engaging experiences and hands-on, innovative exhibits that allow kids to engage with everyday science. Kids can use the augmented reality physiology mirror to look inside the human body, climb on the adventure tower, explore the physics of flight and space, and (in true Nashville fashion) play around with the science of music.

After you've fully explored the Adventure Science Center, walk over to the Sudekum Planetarium, a state-of-the-art dome theater with a wide variety of planetarium shows and laser shows that will help you feel like you're in outer space! This fully immersive experience has shows like "Dark Universe," narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson, as well as regular tributes to some of our favorite bands. Currently, there are shows featuring The Beatles and the Foo Fighters.
Planetarium hours are the same as the Adventure Science Center.

Stop for lunch at the Elliston Place Soda Shop, a Nashville classic since 1939 that serves classic Southern fare. Have some fried green tomatoes, a custom burger, or do a meat-and-three plate (with a protein and three sides). What really sets Elliston Place Soda Shop apart is the vintage soda fountain with custom sodas and ice cream.
Note: Elliston Place is closed on Sundays.

Start your day off at the Nashville Zoo, which has over 3,000 animals of 350 different species, and provides a great experience for the young and the young-at-heart! You'll easily spend 2-3 hours here meeting all the animals.

Crockett Park has an amazing playground. Kids can play in a huge structure of castles and treehouses, underneath the shade of some very large trees. They'll be ready to run out any energy they have left.

If anyone in the family has any energy left after your adventurous day, head to East Nashville for dinner at Boom Bozz - a pizzeria and taphouse that features a playground perfect for keeping the kids entertained and the whole family fed!
