Bear Palace is a two-story pavilion that was built in 1768 as a pleasure for Duke Karl Eugen von Wuerttemberg. The pavilion has fantastic views of the surrounding landscape, making it a great place to stop for a coffee and a morning stroll around the lake.

Admire panoramic views of Stuttgart from the world's first TV tower. Constructed in the 1950s, this 217-metre-tall tower has an observation deck, cafe and restaurant from which you can see the city and surrounding countryside and forest.

It's time for lunch at this casual restaurant which serves German specialities. Cafe Einstein has a buffet or you can order hearty dishes from their menu, such as schnitzel and fries, and pork tenderloins with mushrooms.

You'll find Markthalle Stuttgart in an art nouveau building that was opened in 1914. But food and produce markets have been an important part of Stuttgart since the 14th century, with agriculture and trade forming the basis of its economy. Today you'll find dozens of gourmet vendors selling regional and international specialities. There is parking across the road at Tiefgarage Schillerplatz APCOA.

Take a short walk to Neues Schloss (New Palace) to admire the Baroque architecture. The interior is usually closed to the public except for special guided tours, but the building's impressive exterior and manicured garden square make a great photo opportunity.

Also located in the Kunstmuseum is the Cube Restaurant which has glass walls on all sides to provide glittering views of Stuttgart's city centre in the evening.
