The abandoned marble quarry is a large T-shaped amphitheatre running deep, with steps about a metre high. The landmark for access is the village of Shipuniha. If you do not have an off-road vehicle and the road is heavily snow-covered or washed out, it is best to walk the last part of the route.
You will soon pass the last house in the village on your left (10A) after crossing Shipunikha River. You can leave your car there or go further if the road is suitable. At the fork you turn left into the guardhouse. Further along you will find the active crushed stone quarry and BelAZ trucks constantly driving along the road. Leave the car and walk around, along the next road.

Leave the car in Novososedovo. From there walk 2 km along the village and the dirt road, 2 km along the trail through the forest.

Locals call the Berd cliffs "Zveroboy", namely the rock on which the main observation platform is located. It is believed that in ancient times people used to practice round-up hunting, and it was from this rock that they threw off their prey.
This is one of the most beautiful places in Novosibirsk region: being on top of the rock, you can see the winding Berd River.

On the way back, make a stop in Berdsk and visit a local Irish pub. Delicious food, great beer for those who are not driving.
